Partnership and Sustainable Development

In September 2023, the Baylyk Finance Company took part in the second annual summit of Microfinance Organizations of Central Asia.

The theme of the conference – “Partnership and Sustainable Development” – became the focus of attention of the participants, who discussed current issues and challenges facing the microfinance sector in the countries of Central Asia.

Our colleagues exchanged information on the latest developments and new directions in the microfinance sector, and considered ways to increase access to finance for MSMEs (small and medium-sized enterprises). Shared their development plans with international partners, including lenders, investors, digital service providers and innovative solutions.

The summit hosted the 1st forum on ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) in Central Asia, which drew attention to issues of sustainability and social responsibility in the microfinance sector. As part of this forum, the General Director of the Bailik Finance Company, Moldazhanova Chinara Darkenbaevna, represented by a Member of the Board of the Chamber of Independent Directors, spoke about the experience of implementing ESG in the Bailik Finance Microcredit Company.

A particularly important point was that the holding of the summit of Microfinance Organizations of Central Asia coincided with the celebration of the 20th anniversary of the Frontiers Microcredit Company. In this regard, the Frontiers Company awarded the Baylyk Finance Company with valuable gifts and handed over a Letter of Gratitude for reliable partnership, development and strengthening the potential of the microfinance sector of the Kyrgyz Republic.
