Forum for women entrepreneurs in the southern regions of the republic
In the southern regions of the Republic, the Forum “Ishker Aiym – Ayildan aalamga” was held for women entrepreneurs, organized by the NGO Women’s Forum “KURAK”.
As part of the forum, in order to motivate women from the regions to do business, they were informed about:
- Programs to support and develop women’s entrepreneurship;
- Tourism development programs;
- Financial literacy skills;
- Government support programs.
The forum was held on March 12 in the city of Batken, on March 14 in the city of Osh and on March 15 in the city of Jalalabad. In total, more than 400 women took part in the Forum, including clients of Bailyk Finance.
In their presentation on improving financial literacy skills, women were told about the financial system of the Republic, financial instruments, how to take and use a loan correctly, what distinguishes a financially literate person, and much more.
Forum “Ishker Aiym – Ayildan aalamga” was held with the support of:
Ministry of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic; Ministry of Labour, Social Security and Migration of the Kyrgyz Republic; USAID Agrosooda Project; Project Helvetas “Bai Alai”; European Bank for Reconstruction and Development; Accelerate Prosperity Kyrgyzstan; Regional Program “Women’s Entrepreneurship Agenda in Central Asia” and Microcredit Company “Bailyk Finance”.
